The closing paragraph of your cover letter must be one of the strongest elements, because it is the last impression you will leave in the reader’s mind. If you want to land an in-person interview with a cover letter, you don’t want to finish your letter sounding vague or wishy-washy. By crafting a strong, confident, and enthusiastic closing paragraph calling the reader to action, you will leave the reader feeling like you could be the best candidate for the job. Some may think it's better and/or safer to have a passive voice because you don’t want to appear overconfident - however; by expressing enthusiasm, alignment and excitement about a company and it’s goals, you are finishing the cover letter with a typed-up home run and setting yourself up for potential advancement in the candidate process.
