Your introduction should grab the attention of the reader and communicate the need to keep reading your story - the story of you! The introduction to you can be approached many different ways. Instead of “to whom it may concern” or “this application is in response to the open position of…” it may behoove you to think about what will grab the reader’s attention most about you. Do you have an awesome line of work/title and amrazing, career-shaking accomplishments that make you stand out? Do you perfectly exemplify the keywords listed in the job posting? Do you know you can do this job well? This general line of questioning can enable you to craft a killer introduction - which, in turn, leaves the reader wanting more.
